Chris Wilson 2018
Chris has been an ardent supporter of the Bettie Brand Fund since its first big gala and we wanted to recognize his incredible giving heart and enthusiasm for what the fund accomplishes. Chris is a resident of Marietta, GA with his husband John Culbertson and three sons; Henry (11), Declan (9) and Owen (9). Chris is a Senior Fixed Income Client Portfolio Manager for Voya Investment Management in Atlanta. The youngest of five children, Chris was raised in upstate New York by Lise Wilson, a retired school teacher, and the late Peter Wilson, a county official and former city mayor. Chris graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse NY. Chris began working for AllianceBernstein in New York, NY in 1990 and over the ensuing 23 years, Chris held a variety of roles from Portfolio Assistant to Quantitative Analyst to Currency Trader and then Portfolio Manager in both New York and London.

Chris and his family have lived in the Atlanta area since 2002, and Chris’ love for Atlanta required him to ‘commute’ for 6 years from Atlanta to New York. Outside his financial services career, the Culbertson/Wilson family own and operate 5 Sons Farm, a U-Pick Blueberry farm nestled in the foothills of North Georgia Talking Rock.

Chris attributes his success to family. From the support of his husband and three children to the nurturing he received from his mother whose most valuable life lessons were anchored by her life-long commitment to teaching. Chris is an active supporter of his alma mater, Le Moyne College as well as Autism Speaks in honor of their son Owen. We're proud to name Chris as our outstanding "2018 Son of Distinction."
